Abstrak

PRAKARSA and TAFJA (Tax and Fiscal Justice Asia) in Global Value Chain research in the Agriculture and Fisheries Sector in ASEAN found that the participation of marginalized groups at the upstream level in the Global Value Chain is often disadvantaged.

Groups of small farmers, fishermen, MSMEs, laborers and women workers, have not yet received added value from the global value chain. Current business practices are not inclusive and provide little value in improving their welfare and standard of living.

Then, what is the role of policy makers in creating inclusiveness in each of these value chains?

Find these answers as well as the recommendations that PRAKARSA wrote in the Policy Brief “Agriculture and Fisheries Value Chain in ASEAN: A Long Road to Inclusiveness?”
