Abstract

Do you realize how quickly the environment around us is deteriorating? If so, are you aware that banking, which we have long trusted, contributes significantly to environmental damage and human rights violations?

This fact was discovered by PRAKARSA during a case study of the cement industry in the North Kendeng Mountains. That it turns out that one of the main factors caused by irresponsible financing practices is the violation of human rights and environmental damage that occurred there. Why did this happen, and what can be done to put a stop to this harmful practice?

The answer can be found in the 33rd edition of the Policy Brief "The Cement Industry in the North Kendeng Mountains: Environmental Damage, Human Rights Violations, and the Impact on the Environment."
